CSIA 413 UMUC Privacy & Corporate Liability Customer Privacy & Smart Devices Essay

Question Description

I’m working on a computer science discussion question and need an explanation to help me learn.

Red Clay’s senior leadership team are reviewing the company’s Annual Report, which the CEO will presented at the next quarterly shareholder’s meeting. That report includes the following risk statement.

We could be liable if third-party equipment recommended and installed by us, i.e. voice activated smart home controllers, infringes on the privacy of our residential clients.

Research how smart devices sense and record information from the environment around them. For example, an device might be designed to listen and record voice inputs OR it might record other sources of private information about movement, locking / unlocking of doors with dates and times, use of devices, etc.

Using your research, write a two-page briefing paper (five to seven paragraphs) that corporate board members can use to explain how the third party equipment could infringe on customer privacy and why the company might be liable for damages if customers experience a loss of privacy. Your target audience is Red Clay Renovation’s to shareholders. Provide specific examples of the types of risk events that could occur and the potential impacts (e.g. financial, reputation, client trust, etc.) Your examples should relate to Red Clay and the course case study. Remember, the board members and shareholders are likely non-technical, so make sure your paper can be understood by laymen.

Provide in-text citations and references for 3 or more authoritative sources. Put the reference list at the end of your posting.

Queens Involving Stakeholders in Health Research Public Education Poster

Question Description

I’m working on a health & medical question and need guidance to help me study.

Psilocybin (magic mushrooms) is emerging as a novel treatment for mental health conditions, and in addition the recreational use of magic mushrooms is increasing. Several online stores are now selling magic mushrooms on-line in Canada, and appear to be tolerated as a pseudo-legal “grey market”. This all combines into a need for good public education on the use of magic mushrooms. Unlike alcohol and cannabis, low-risk harm reduction guidelines do not yet exist for psilocybin.

Please create a one page public education poster: Magic Mushrooms–What you need to know. It is a public education poster, so some graphics are permissible, and the document can be poster or legal size instead of letter size as long as it all together on one “page”.

Your poster should have: a description of what they are, their effects, as well as any harm reduction information such as risks/adverse experiences and how to reduce the risks. Any known possible benefits of use should also be mentioned. Keep it simple and bullet points are allowed. Remember it is a public education poster.
While the poster is one page only, I would like you to include along with the poster but separately a bibliography citing where you got your information.

I attached some slides by my professor about magic mushroom which might be very helpful.

  • Include a brief explanation in informal, conversational language that clarifies your intentions to your fellow peer reviewers.
  • Explain why your thesis is arguable, and not merely a descriptive observation.
  • Identify the prompt you chose

I will send over the prompt separately and all the information but it should be SUPER EASY! It won’t take longer than 3 minutes
